There are a lot of things to consider when selecting a preschool for your little one. From the environment to the students, the option can be daunting. One of the most important things to consider when selecting a preschool is the quality of the curriculum.
Although the term "curriculum" may sound stuffy and academic, our curriculum is anything but that. In reality, it's the backbone of what gives your child a well-rounded, enjoyable, and quality experience, as well as what prepares them best for their exciting learning career outside preschool.
Montessori is the most common program in India. Yet larger preschools have created their own curriculum with the aid of professionals who take the best of all the various preschool curriculum ideologies. Teeny Beans program is designed to keep the age requirement wise.
At Teeny Beans International Preschool, we are proud of our British curriculum based on the EYFS System.
During the time of infancy to pre-kindergarten level, your child will undergo some of their most significant developments. Most of these changes are subconscious and derive from the feedback of the world around them.
We agree that the most important work your child will do during these stages of life is to play! Creating a structured play-and-learning environment where your child can flourish socially, cognitively, emotionally and physically is of the utmost importance.
The Teeny Beans curriculum offers guidance to teachers to be confident custodians taking charge of a classroom full of toddlers. Our curriculum is one of the best Preschool curriculum providers in India.
Here are some of the ways in which the Teeny Beans program stands out:
Holistic development: Our curriculum focuses on the creation of social / emotional, cognitive, physical and linguistic elements through original projects focused on monthly themes and related activities.
Work is Play! : Based on our monthly pre-school lessons, we teach lessons, etiquette and social skills through pre-planned play. This shows your child that learning is enjoyable, and gives them a love of learning and a school that they will take with them throughout the rest of their life.
Smooth transitions and facilitated development: The Teeny Beans curriculum guides our teachers every day by offering a framework that supports an enriched classroom environment, giving your child an experience that encourages well-rounded learning!
Consistency: Your child thrives on continuity, which is why we are committed to developing an atmosphere and curriculum that is consistent across all Teeny Beans institutions.
Centered on the EYFS framework: Our curriculum is based on the UK Curriculum and the EYFS System. The EYFS System outlines how and what your child should learn to help their healthy growth. Your child will be learning skills, gaining new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding in 7 areas of learning and development.
Augmented Curriculum: We believe that children are partners and communicators, and that their teacher is their mentor, intended to foster and direct them along the road to discovery. If you're looking for a preschool that emphasizes individual development and encourages a love of learning in your child, Teeny Beans could be a place for you!
The EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stage is the foundational framework for early years learning in the UK. It defines and describes the following-
The Teeny Beans Kids curriculum is structured to promote learning outcomes that concentrate on encouraging children to improve holistically, spiritually and esthetically, including knowledge development and academic skills. Based on the EYFS curriculum, these learning results are categorized into the following, and in-depth tests are carried out at each age-level of each area of study.
The 7 learning and growth areas are used to organize the child's learning and activities. Professionals teaching and helping your child must ensure that the lessons are adapted to your child's particular needs. It's a bit like a primary and secondary school program, except it's ideal for really young children, so it's built to be very versatile so that staff can meet the child's particular needs and interests.
Children will establish the three primary areas first. Those are the following:
This communication and language; physical growth; and mental, social and emotional development. is called the Age 2 Progress Test.
At the end of the EYFS – during the summer time of the school reception year – the teachers complete the evaluation, known as the EYFS Profile. This evaluation is carried out by the reception teacher and is based on what they and other staff responsible for your child have learned over a period of time.
Another crucial part of the EYFS Profile is your knowledge of your child's learning and development, so let your child's teacher know what your child is doing to you: how comfortable your child is in writing their name, reading and talking about a favorite book, talking to people your child isn't so familiar with or knowing their numbers.
All of the knowledge gathered is used to determine how your child functions in 7 areas of learning and development. Finding out at this point how your child is doing would ensure that your child's teacher in her next school year – Year 1 – would know what your child really loves doing and is doing well, as well as helping them decide whether your child needs any additional support, what that support will be and if they're already having it.
The school will provide you with a progress report, including material from its EYFS Profile.
